    1.0 SCOPE

    Declares the manual’s purpose:

    • For mechanical maintenance, lubrication, inspection, proof loading, and service procedures.

    • Includes a customizable blank for vacuum lifter capacity (____ pounds).


    2.0 SPECIAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

    • None. No specialty tools are required for service.

    • Enables easy, in-house maintenance using standard shop materials.


    3.0 INSTRUCTIONS

    Split by the vacuum pump condition (ON/OFF, Load/No Load):


    3.1 With Vacuum Pump "Off":

    • Inspect seal rings and overall equipment condition.

    • Tighten or replace nuts, bolts, clamps.

    • Empty and clean vacuum filter (glass jar style).


     3.2 With Vacuum Pump "On" but No Load:

    • Airflow test by touch at each pad.

    • Refill automatic oiler with DTE light oil.

      • Let run 3+ minutes before capping

      • Tighten filler nut post-fill

    • Confirm “Vac-Off” airflow cycle.


     3.3 With Vacuum Pump "Off" – Deep Cleaning:

    • Wash entire unit.

    • Clean muffler, exhaust, and intake filters using Inhibisol.

    • Air-blow bronze filter (inside glass jar) from the inside outward.

    • Lubricate all moving parts with DTE Medium oil.


     3.4 With Vacuum Pump "On" but No Load:

    • Conduct visual inspection of operating condition.


     3.5 With Vacuum Lifter “On” Under Load:

    • Monitor gauges and lights for correct operation.

      • Speed and steadiness of vacuum buildup

    • Execute load lift per instruction tag.

    • Check for issues: noise, vibration, leaks, overheating.

    • Reserve vacuum check:

      • Gauge drop should not exceed 3" in 15 minutes after motor shutdown.

    • Test Vac-Off cycle:

      • Lower load

      • Push "Vac-Off" button → load should release immediately.
